After 100 Days, Tired Trump to Take Summer Off

Having been in office just 100 days, President Donald Trump announced that he plans to take the summer off to enjoy some much needed vacation time. “I’ve done about 2, maybe 3 years of work since taking office already,” Trump tweeted from his Mar a Lago golf resort in Palm Beach Sunday morning. “This was all much more work than I expected and I think I deserve a vacation, to be perfectly honest.”The announcement was initially criticized by members of the left as irresponsible and unprofessional, but after only a few minutes to think about it everyone pretty much agreed it was a good thing that he give up control of the Nation.

“I think this is a wonderful idea,” said Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) who encouraged Mr. Trump to take as much time as he needs to relax. “I think Donald has done so much in his first 100 days that I wouldn’t mind if he just called it a Presidency and spent the next 3 and 2/3 years on a beach.”

The President hasn’t officially announced what he plans to do during his vacation, but rumor has it he plans to spend at least some time traveling overseas. “I have offers from people all over the world to visit with them: Turkey, Venezuela, Russia, China. They are all my friends and they all want me. I’ll have to decide where I’ll go.”

While we assumed Vice President Mike Pence will be in charge during Trump’s vacation, the Plantain has learned from Senior White House officials we made up that control of the Presidency during Trump’s vacation will be auctioned off and the proceeds will be used to help pay for a wall on the Nation’s southern border. “See, even when I’m on vacation I’m helping America,” said Trump before taking another golf swing.
